Please email for pricing information regarding off-site sessions, house call sessions, events, or party tintype pop-up booth.

If you would like more than one tintype, any additional shots after the first one are $20 off. Since there are no negatives in this process, there is no way to make duplicates. There is a scanner at the studio for archiving, and I can email you your scans before you leave.

Sometimes because of chemistry, lighting, or if someone in the shot moves during the exposure, we may have to do more than one take, in which case we can do so at no extra charge. It can take about 15-20 minutes start to finish to make a tintype, so it's important to take the time and get it right the first time. The wetplate process is a lot slower than what we are used to in this digital world, but the results are well worth the time and care.

A session for 1-2 tintypes takes about an hour and a half. This includes the time it takes to wash and varnish your tins so that you can take them with you when you go.

Exposure time under my studio lights is 1-6 seconds long. It can be very bright and sometimes children have a hard time being absolutely still for that long. This process is not recommended for children not old enough to do that. If you would like to try, an additional $50 will be added to the session for anything over 3 re-takes needed to get the right shot of children.

Please feel free to bring costumes, props, or ideas for how you would like the tintype framed. I enjoy taking portraits but I am not limited to that. If you have an idea for something different- please let me know!
